How do we clean our kitchen and then keep it dirt-free? We will tell you a few easy tricks to quickly clean your kitchen. It’s the most used room where the whole family gathers for dinner, but its cleaning remains with the housewife.

After cooking, the hotplates and the oven become completely covered with grease and are unpleasant for any housewife. Start with them, because the pollution there is the greatest. Soak the hobs for a few minutes with detergent or soapy water with vinegar to break down the dirt. During this time, you can clean other appliances in the kitchen. Then return to them and wipe them. If you clean after each cooking, you will much less often have to clean your stove thoroughly. And to keep the oven clean longer, you can use cooking bags that do not allow grease and fumes to stick to it.
Clean the refrigerator depending on the dirt on it. You can disinfect it with water and vinegar. If you do not like the smell of vinegar, you can add lemon juice. This way, the dirt will disappear, and the aroma will be fresh every time you open the fridge.
You can clean the microwave by putting a few drops of lemon, orange or grapefruit juice in a bowl of water. Bring the water to a boil, and droplets will dissolve the fat. Then wipe with a dry towel or paper. If there is any dirt left, repeat the process until you get a clean and citrus-scented microwave. Use a microwave lid to avoid easy contamination. Such covers you can buy from every household store. You will easily clean the lid without the stove getting dirty from food.
Another option for cleaning the microwave is to put a few cubes of citrus fruit in a bowl of water: lemon, orange, tangerine or grapefruit. If you do not have fruit, you can also use their skin. Run the timer until you notice the active vapours, which should last at least a minute or two. Open and clean with kitchen paper; if the result does not satisfy you, repeat the process.

The dishwasher is the next to clean. To serve you for a long time and faithfully, you will have to clean it every week. Cleaning the dishwasher once a week is a must. Filters and fins are easy to clean with a soft brush. Inside, you can wipe with baking soda dissolved in water. Break down a teaspoon of baking soda in 200 ml. water, then soak a sponge and pass the edges of the dishwasher and inside it. In this way, you will remove stuck food and stains. Run an empty cycle on the dishwasher to clean thoroughly.
To thoroughly disinfect the dishwasher, run it on an empty cycle with detergent. In the same way, you can clean the washing machine, and there you need to pay more attention to the seal and the hatch on the inside.
You can also easily clean the washing machine by putting a cotton cloth or microfibre cloth in it at high temperatures. Before that, pour a cup of vinegar or lemon juice into the powder compartment. So while the washing machine is running, the towel will clean for you. And vinegar or lemon juice will disinfect the whole drum, the seals and the soft connections through which the dirty water drains. Wipe the door of the washing machine on the outside. You can also use ready-made powders available in the retail chain to clean the washing machine.
Next are the kitchen cabinets, full of packages, but it is still good to clean them thoroughly. After removing and wiping everything, you can put pads under the spices, plates or cups on the bottom of the cabinets, which you will only change during the next cleaning. You only have to consider that the pads must be hard and not embossed. Wipe the outside of the cabinets as well as their handles. Regarding the external cleaning of kitchen cabinets – it is easiest with soapy water and a sponge, and then wipe only with a microfibre cloth.
One of the best tips for cleaning your kitchen is to start from above and work downwards. Wiping higher cabinets can leave residue on the lower surfaces, but you will clean them later, so this sequence is good. Start by dusting.
Regarding kitchen surfaces, they are easy and quick to clean. Make sure you have a detergent suitable for cleaning the material on the surface of your counter top (you can test it on a small area first). Spray and use a rough sponge in circular motions to remove dirt.
The absorber is another unpleasant cleaning device because it absorbs all the odours and grease from cooking, but you need to clean it often to work efficiently. Remove the grilles and spray with a degreaser. Once it works, you will quickly remove the dirt with a sponge or soft brush. Now is the time if you have yet to use a microfibre cloth to clean the absorber. You will clean everything quickly, without unnecessary friction and effort.
The kitchen sink is the next step in cleaning the kitchen. The sink retains a lot of bacteria and is ideal for their development. Here, you can clean it with vinegar and lemon juice, and to give it shine again, you can smear it with almond oil and polish it. Almond oil repels water in the sink, which leads to the appearance of mould and odours.
To disinfect it well, clean it with soap and water, then rub it with vinegar or lemon juice.
After cooking, you can flavour your home with vanilla, cinnamon or cloves to kill the unpleasant odour, especially from fried fish. How is this supposed to happen? Bring a bowl of water to a boil and add a packet of vanilla, cinnamon or a few drops of your favourite flavoured oil. Be sure that all odours will disappear. And the kitchen, in addition to being clean, will smell nice.
Finally, it’s time to clean the floor. Clean and dispose of all waste collected during the kitchen cleaning process. Then use a suitable floor cleaner to finish the job.
If you are wondering how often you have to perform the individual tasks of cleaning the kitchen, here is a sample schedule:
Daily. Wipe the countertop, clean the sink and floor;
Weekly. Cleaning the refrigerator, sweeping the floor, polishing the sink and cleaning the hob;
Monthly. Cleaning the oven, wiping the cabinets and thoroughly cleaning the fridge.
Of course, you can do some tasks more often, depending on how often you cook and how many people you are at home.
